Our Story
Mr. Thambypillai started accounting4hotels with a simple goal in mind: to create a platform to assist hotel owners, operators and organizations to maintain accounting records at an industry standard. Accounting4hotels strives to provide expertise in the realm of hotel finances by guiding customers to making great business decisions and achieving their goals.
Our Founder
Founder and Director Bala Thambypillai is a retired hotel accounting professional. Over the past 40 years, Mr. Thambypillai worked as a Financial Controller across properties in the Middle East and Canada. He worked at Holiday Inn's Middle East Division for 18 years across 3 countries; transferring to the Holiday Inn Canadian Division in 1997.
Post 1997, he worked in the Waterloo Region for 23 years across multiple properties including Delta Hotels and Crowne Plaza. Being well-versed in implementing internal control/process narratives, consolidating accounting functions, training/developing accounting personnel, and reporting to corporate management, he provides organizations with expert guidance.
He was awarded 'Controller of the Year' by CHIP Hospitality in the year 2003.
